An introduction to boroboro – based on the Japanese tradition of patching, stitching and repairing textiles
This one-day workshop, led by Carol Dunbar and Susan Dejardin, will introduce the concept of boroboro with participants being able to make a small project of their own. The workshop will focus on the use of recycling materials and a simple sashiko running stich.
Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
All materials are provided including choice of fabrics and threads – as well as your own project you will receive a sashiko needle and hank of sashiko thread to take home.
Please Note:
Lunch is not provided so please feel free to bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee, biscuits, crockery and utensils provided.
